Making a Daily Accomplishments List

Many people keep a To-Do list of things people may want to accomplish within that day, or even a period of time, such as goals (short and long term) groceries, clean the house, etc. What many people do not do, is writing about the best things that happened throughout the day. This can be viewed as being a powerful self-improvement tool. Mostly, praising people about their accomplishments and efforts is one of the greatest and most powerful ways to motivate them to a more outstanding performance.

This same principle is applied when giving praise to YOURSELF. By keeping a record of your small achievements, either jotting down things you've gotten done throughout the day or filling in a spreadsheet or taking a few minutes to write things down at the end of the day is very beneficial. Minda Zetlin, author of "Career Self Care: Find your happiness, success, and fulfillment at work" states that "focusing your attention on your own small successes right before going to sleep will have a powerfully positive effect on your unconscious mind".

Only focus on the positive things you did throughout the day, as all small accomplishments are just as important as the big ones! The point of this is to build confidence and motivation on these small successes. Even writing down things you may be proud of that happened that day can be rewarding. If you keep a record of your accomplishments, in time you may be able to see how far you have come!
