How to Understand your Stress Triggers

1.     Take this 5 minute assessment on stress triggers - https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/tests/personality/what-are-your-stress-triggers

2.     Keep a written log about your stress – Take time daily to document your stress and its impact on your day.  For example, document the day and time, physical symptoms, and a word or phrase that describes the type of stress you’re experiencing.

3.     Ask yourself the following questions:  Where do you hold stress in your body?  Some people get headaches while others feel it in their neck, shoulders, and back.  What people and situations tend to cause you stress?  How do you think about stress?  Do you overthink details?  Anticipate negative outcomes?  Based on your answers, what might your stress triggers be?
