January is Mental Wellness Month

January 2024 marks Mental Wellness Month, which is dedicated to breaking the stigma that is associated with all mental illnesses. This month serves as the perfect time to detach yourself from the stress of the holidays, and lean into your own mental wellbeing. It is important to remember that putting your mental wellness first does not necessarily mean you have to be happy at all times. It means that you are actively taking care of yourself and your mental health. This could look like you acknowledging your emotions or allowing yourself to feel your feelings, no matter what they are.

This month can also serve as a reminder to reach out a helping hand to those around you who may struggle from mental health, as well. Remember to check on your friends and loved ones, start the harder conversations, allow those around you to know that you are there for them. Mental wellness is a struggle for so many people, the best thing we can do is come together and share our support.
