As we get closer to the new year, we wanted to dive into vision boards! Vision boards are collages of images, pictures, and affirmations that depict one’s dreams and desires for their future. When creating a vision board, you must tap in and reflect on your aspirations for the future. Think of your goals. What you want to do, where you want to go, what you want to succeed. By representing your goals in a visual form, you can gain a better understanding of what you want to achieve. This board will be a daily reminder of the things you want to work towards and accomplish. It is told that vision boards can increase the motivation and confidence to achieve the goals that are represented.

What should you include on your vision board? Well, that’s easy! Your vision board should include the goals you want to set. These can be backed up by images and quotes that accurately depict those very goals. For example, if one of your goals is to travel to Paris, a picture of the eiffel tower would be a great thing to add to your vision board! Remember, though, try to add things you can actually achieve and try to describe your goals in vivid detail. This can help you to envision how you will reach that goal.

Lastly, you need some supplies! Vision boards can be as easy as a pen and paper with your goals written. But, to be more visually pleasing and to give you something motivating to look at every day, we suggest a poster board with different colored pens and some images glued on! This can be as extravagant or as simple as you would like - whichever will bring out the motivation! After you get your supplies, you just write the words and attach the images that most accurately represent your dreams.

Vision boards can be a great way to achieve your goals and set your mind to some great accomplishments. Having goals in life is important for our mental health. Although the journey to completing the goal might not always be easy, it will be worth it! Keep going, we are proud of you!
